1. Participation Acknowledgement & Conduct
By registering for, attending, or participating in Get A Move On — Fitness Dance 2026, you acknowledge that your participation is voluntary and that you are responsible for determining whether you are able to participate safely.
You agree to comply with event rules, posted instructions, venue requirements, safety instructions, and reasonable directions from event personnel relating to the safe and orderly operation of the event.
The organizers reserve the right to restrict or terminate participation, or require a participant to leave the event, where reasonably necessary for safety, violation of event or venue rules, misconduct, or the safe and orderly operation of the event.
A participant whose participation is terminated or who is required to leave for such reasons will not be entitled to a refund.
2. Age Requirement
Participants must be 18 years of age or older to register for and participate in the event.
3. Assumption of Risk
You understand that fitness, dance, physical and recreational activities, as well as attendance at an in-person event, involve inherent and other risks.
These risks may include, but are not limited to, slips, falls, collisions, physical exertion, muscle or joint injury, illness, medical emergencies, and loss of or damage to personal property.
By participating in or attending the event, you knowingly and voluntarily accept the risks associated with your participation and attendance.
4. Health & Medical Responsibility
You are responsible for your own health, medical condition and physical ability to participate.
You should participate only within your own abilities and stop participating if you feel unwell, experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or other concerning symptoms.
If you have a medical condition, health concern, are pregnant, or are unsure whether participation is appropriate for you, you should consult a physician or qualified healthcare professional before participating.
The organizers, sponsors, partners, beneficiary charity, venue and event personnel do not provide medical advice or guarantee that any activity is safe or suitable for any individual participant.
5. Emergency Medical Assistance
In the event of a medical emergency, you authorize the organizers and event personnel to contact emergency medical services or other appropriate emergency resources on your behalf.
Any medical assessment, treatment, ambulance transportation, hospital care, or related costs are the participant’s responsibility.
6. Release, Waiver of Claims & Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you voluntarily assume the risks associated with your participation in and attendance at the event and release and waive claims against the event organizers, sponsors, partners, beneficiary charity, venue, instructors, contractors, volunteers, staff, officers, directors, representatives and agents arising from or related to your participation in or attendance at the event.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the parties listed above will not be liable for injury, illness, death, loss, theft, property damage, costs or other claims arising from or related to your participation in or attendance at the event, except to the extent that such liability cannot legally be excluded, waived or limited.
7. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the event organizers and other released parties from claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or reasonable costs arising from your own acts or omissions, violation of event or venue rules, or misconduct in connection with your participation in or attendance at the event.
8. Personal Property
Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings.
The organizers and event-related parties are not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged personal property, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
9. Photography & Media Consent
Photography, video and audio recording may take place throughout the event.
By attending the event, you grant the organizers and beneficiary charity permission to photograph, record and use your image, likeness, voice and appearance in connection with the event, including promotional, media, social media, informational and fundraising materials, without compensation, in any format or territory.
10. Event Changes & Organizer Discretion
The organizers reserve the right to modify the event schedule, program, activities, instructors, speakers, venue arrangements, rules, procedures, eligibility requirements, or other event details where reasonably necessary, including for operational, safety, or circumstances beyond the organizers’ control.
Such changes may be made without prior notice where circumstances require. The organizers reserve reasonable discretion in the administration and interpretation of event rules and procedures, subject to applicable law.
11. Donations & Refunds
Registration fees and donations are non-refundable. In the event of an outright cancellation, participant registration fees and donations will not be refunded. Registration fees will instead be converted to charitable donations, and participants will receive a tax receipt.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for or participating in the event, you confirm that you have read and understood this Disclaimer & Waiver and agree to its terms.
